“ELF” THE EARTH LIBERATON FRONT
This terrorist group was founded in 1992 in the United Kingdom. They want to stop large companies from destroying the environment for economic gains. Being a large eco- terrorist group in about 17 countries (international), their main weapon is to cause property damage to get attention. While they try not to kill anyone, sometimes there are people who are unintentionally injured.
They use tree spiking to keep people from cutting down large trees. Most of the time, they destroy or deface buildings to show their disapproval. They even set fires. Because of the damage that ski resorts cause to the environment, they started trying to get their attention. They put pictures of little elves with monkey wrenches around the lift so that people thought that they had been tampered with. They even broke into laboratories that used animals for testing to release mice and ferrets.
While religion doesn’t have much effect on this group, they do care about the environment and animals. Gandhi once said that a lot can be said about a country based on how they treat their animals. This group may have taken that a little too far.
